We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a peaceful and happy New Year! A very big thank you to everyone who came to spend time with us at Gamsberg this year.
Dan will be at Dallas Safari Club and SCI in Nashville. Please get in touch if you would like to recieve a copy of our physical 2024 trophy book.
Our new airstrip is now fully operational and we had a wide range of different aircrafts land at Gamsberg this year! Trips to the Caprivi, and photographic safaris that require an air charter, can be combined seamlessly from or to Gamsberg now, without the need to transit through Windhoek.
Another highlight was one lovely group's helicopter safari with a Eurocopter and pilot Janek, these trips are a wonderful addition to a hunting safari, starting at Gamsberg and flying over and to Sosssuvlei and/or Swakopmund and the Skeleton Coast. The next one is already booked for 2025.
Dan has been busy with patrols over Gamsberg and surrounds with the anti poaching gyrocopter.
The season at Bwabwata West was a great success with lots of excitting buffalo hunting, both trophy buffalo and non-trophy 'own use' buffalo, which supply the anti poaching teams of this region with much needed food rations. Other 2024 trophies in this region were Hippo, Red Lechwe, Kudu, Warthog and Impala, and any free time was filled with river cruises and fishing. For trophy photos and 2025 inquiries please get in touch.
You may have seen Namibia in the headlines in relation to going through one of the worst droughts in decades. We are very grateful to our loyal donors for repeated contributions to fodder for the rhinos, and of course the other wildlife benefits from these feeding stations.
Meanwhile the leopard don't have to worry about the grass shortage, see below some trail camera footage of the season. We have also had several exciting leopard sightings with clients.
Happy days at the Gaub River Camp, and our hard working staff building a new concrete dam to make permament water available to wildlife in an otherwise dry section of the river. Now we wait for rain to fill the dam!
A special thank you to our hardworking chef Alma, who has been with us for more than 10 years now.
To the right, trackers Junior and Gabriel at a quiver tree in the Gamsberg Bad Lands.
With very best wishes from Robin and Pauline, Dan and Jana with Noah and Dustin, and all the staff team - Simeon, Gabriel, Lisias, Michael, Simon, Naftalie, Hendrik, Anton, Alma, Elina, Claudia, Paulina and Tina, and our dedicated anti poaching team.
